Kratom is the common name of the plant that is scientifically called Mitragyna speciosa Korthals, a tree originally from southwest Asia (Thailand, north of the Malay peninsula to Borneo). It grows mainly in the central regions and south of Thailand, and only rarely in the north.

This type of mitragyna, part of the Rubiaceae family, grows in the tropical and subtropical regions of Asia and Africa. Asian mithragynas are often found in tropical forests, while African species (which are sometimes classified into separate types) are frequently found in swamps. Most of the species are arborescent, some reaching heights of almost 30 meters. This type was named by the botanist Robert Korthals, and the pistils of the first species he examined resembled an episcopal miter. It is characterized by a spherical shaped head, with about 120 small flowers. Mitragyna species are used for medicinal purposes as well as for their excellent wood. But recently, the plant mitragyna species also gained popularity as a recreational drug.

Little description:

The mitragyna speciosa tree reaches heights of 15 meters with a height of 4.5 meters. The stem is erect and flowering. The flowers are yellow. The leaves are perennial, dark green lustrous, oval in shape, with opposite growth patterns. Kratom is always green rather than annual or biannual, and its leaves fall and are born steadily, but there is an almost seasonal loss of leaves due to environmental conditions. During the dry season of the year, the loss of leaves is abundant, and the new growth is greater during the rainy season. When planted outside its tropical habitat, the loss of leaves occurs with colder temperatures, around 4 degrees Celsius.

Kratom cultivation

Kratom prefers wet, very humid soils in protected areas. Because it needs a lot of food, it requires a very rich and fertile soil. It is sensitive to aridity, and if planted outside its natural habitat is sensitive to frost. The production passes through very fresh seeds or shoots. It grows slowly, due to a fungus that attacks its xylem tissue (one of the plant tissues). You can order some from these sites to have the best quality. The checking of the quality of the kratom is necessary to have the best results. The reduction in the pain is good and it will not have adverse-effect on the health. The cultivation is from the best plant to have the benefits.

Little is known about kratom cultivation. Seeds and shoots are very difficult to find. Kratom shoots are difficult to grow, even though the plant itself, once established, is relatively resistant. Due to the difficulty of creating roots through outbreaks, many farmers experience cloning. Two of the main difficulties of growing with buds is that they create fungi or simply do not create roots. Suggestions for the treatment of these problems include:

Put the outbreak in water with a pump tube to increase oxygen levels.

Use a small amount of fungicide in the water to prevent the growth of fungi.

Change the water daily to reduce the formation of fungi.

Someone was successful in keeping the shoot wet by using chips, allowing air to pass through, changing the water every day to prevent fungal growth, and gathering nutrients so the roots began to grow.

There are records of the fact that mitragyna speciosa leaves are more potent in late autumn, especially before falling, and that plants growing in cold climates are more fragile. Plants grown in subtropical or tepid climates are fragile in late winter and spring, but potent in late summer and autumn, and early winter. Most greenhouse plants are also fragile (the reason is not understood).
