The HCMToGo mobile app is a new tool for HR and payroll professionals. But what should you know before using it?
There are three main reasons to use the HCMToGo app and HCMToGo download, says Michael Mudd, senior director at Appenity. The first is that it’s a simple way to view your employees’ information in one place. Second, you can track their productivity by checking which tasks they complete during the day. And third, you can easily send them text messages about work-related items.
“It’s very useful because we can pull up all of our employees in a single location,” says Mudd. “For instance, if I want to check on someone’s attendance or look at how many hours she works, or if she worked overtime.” The app also lets you see who is assigned to what projects.
Another good thing about the app is that it allows users to create custom fields in their organization. So, say you have a field called “Projects” and you want to see which project each employee has been working on this week. You could add a column called Project and then assign a value to that column for each different project that person will be working on. This might not seem like much, but imagine how helpful it would be when there are hundreds of projects going on at once. It makes it easier for supervisors to keep track of who is working on what, and you don’t need to go into each individual’s profile to find out more details.
The most important part of using the app is how well it integrates with the rest of the company’s systems. HCMToGo works with ADP, Workday and Zendesk. That means you can access your payroll data from within the app. Another benefit is that the app automatically syncs with your other apps, so you don’t have to spend time manually entering your employees’ information. If, for example, you’re sending a message to an employee, the app will update the other apps as soon as you hit Send.
But the best feature of the app is the ability to communicate through it. There are two ways to do this. One is to send a group message to everyone in your organization. For example, you could ask your sales team to meet for lunch at 10am every Tuesday and Thursday. Or you could send a message to everyone in the department that needs to sign off on a certain document.
The second way to use the app is to send specific messages to individuals. These can take the form of texts, emails or voice mails. And each type of message has its own purpose. A text message can be sent to remind an employee of something he or she needs to do; an email can contain instructions about a task or report; and a voicemail can include a phone number for an emergency contact.
You can send these messages through any of the app’s various functions. For example, you can send a text message to an employee just by clicking on his name. Then, you’ll see a pop-up window where you can enter the message you’d like to deliver.
The best part of the app is that you don’t need to worry about whether your employees will reply to your messages. Because the app has built-in reminders, you won’t have to wait around for a response. If you give an employee a reminder, the app will notify him or her every day until the task is completed. If you want, you can set reminders to repeat daily, weekly or monthly.
The app also has features that let you schedule meetings, such as conference calls, online meetings and virtual events. In addition, you can share documents and spreadsheets directly from the app. This is helpful when you’re trying to collaborate on a project and make sure everyone is on the same page. Plus, you can quickly review who is on a specific call, spreadsheet or meeting without having to search each person’s profile.
To sum things up, HCMToGo is a great tool for companies looking to streamline their workflow and improve collaboration between teams. However, it’s important to remember that it doesn’t replace the need for face-to-face meetings. The app provides a quick way to gather feedback, but the real power comes from human interaction.
